Participation Fees for U.S. Academic Institutions

Business Collection

The forty-seven titles in the Business Collection are drawn from Arts & Sciences I, II, and IV. The collection brings together core titles in economics and finance, including many publications from the leading scholarly societies, with a range of critical research journals in accounting, labor relations, marketing, management, operations research, and risk assessment.

As with all JSTOR collections, institutions will pay two fees to participate in the Business Collection, an Archive Capital Fee (ACF) and an Annual Access Fee (AAF). The ACF is a one-time-only fee designed to ensure that JSTOR has the necessary resources to meet its archival obligation as technology evolves. The AAF helps cover the recurring costs of updating the archive and maintaining access and support services for participating institutions. These fees vary depending upon the JSTOR Classification of each institution. Please see JSTOR Classifications for an explanation of the five classes of U.S. academic institutions.

In determining participation fees for the Business Collection, we have been careful to ensure that participants contribute only once for any title in the archive. Because the content in the Business Collection is also available in the Arts & Sciences I, II, and IV Collections, fees to participate in Business will vary. Participation in the Arts & Sciences I, II, and IV Collections provides complete access to all the titles in the Business Collection. If your institution participates in Arts & Sciences I, II, IV or a combination of two Arts & Sciences Collections, please refer to the appropriate column in the chart below. For example:

• If your institution is a JSTOR Large participant and you already participate in the Arts & Sciences I Collection, the Archive Capital Fee to participate in the Business Collection is $6,000 and the Annual Access Fee will be $1,600.
  
• If your institution is a JSTOR Very Small participant and already participates in both the Arts & Sciences I and II Collections, the Archive Capital Fee to add the Business Collection is $800 and the Annual Access Fee will be $400.
  
• JSTOR Charter participants should seek the Business Collection fees corresponding to their JSTOR Classification in the far right columns, regardless of participation in Arts & Sciences I and II.

Institutions may participate in the Business Collection at any time and in any combination with other JSTOR collections. New JSTOR participants should complete the JSTOR Archive License Agreement.
