In a continued effort to further access to important scholarly materials, JSTOR is facilitating a new service enabling independent researchers to purchase access from participating publishers to single articles contained in journals archived in JSTOR. Researchers following a direct link to an article from a participating publisher's website, article links from a JSTOR linking partner resource, or article links from a Google search, may be presented with the option to purchase the article from the publisher and immediately download it in PDF format.

This service is an opt-in program for JSTOR participating publishers, and publishers set the fees for articles from their journals. Currently, only articles and book reviews published in the journals listed below are available for purchase through this service, though other titles are being added regularly. If you are affiliated with a participating institution, you may already have access to journals archived in JSTOR. To access JSTOR from an on-campus location, enter at www.jstor.org and select "Search" or "Browse."
