Moving wall: the period of coverage for the journals to be included in the
JSTOR database. This wall establishes the point at which the JSTOR archive of the
publication stops. If the moving wall is three years, the last issue available in
the JSTOR archive would have been published three years ago. As each year passes,
another year is added to the archive.
Faithful replication: images of the pages as they were originally printed are
made available for display and printing by users.
Perpetual license: if publisher terminates agreement, JSTOR may continue to
provide the archive to those libraries that have purchased access prior to the
date of termination.
Intellectual property ownership: publisher retains rights to their
content.
All the work involved in creating the Archive, including rebinding the
journal after scanning, is done at JSTOR's expense.
