NOTE: The maximum number of citations you can save to your Saved Citations List is 200. A counter keeps track of the number of items you currently have saved. Items in excess of this limit will not be saved.
JSTOR citations can be emailed, saved, printed, and exported in six different formats: RIS format, RefWorks, BibTeX, printer-friendly, citation-manager, and tab-delimited. Please see Directly Exporting JSTOR Citations for more detailed instructions.
To email your citations, select "Email citations." Once you reach the email form page, select the output format you desire (BibTeX, printer-friendly, citation-manager, or tab-delimited). You will be asked to enter your email address, the email address of any recipients, and any notes you may wish to send along with your citations. To send citations to more than one email address, you must separate the addresses with a comma. Please note that JSTOR cannot verify your email address in all cases, so please enter this information carefully. You may also choose to include your citations as an attachment; users who find that their email program creates unusual spacing or line breaks in their list of exported citations may wish to use the attachment option. You may preview the output format that you have selected for your citations by pressing the "Preview Selected Citation Format" button before you send your citations.
To save your Saved Citation List to a local text file, select a format (BibTeX, printer-friendly, citation-manager, or tab-delimited) from the "View and Save Citations" option and then press the View button. A window will open, with the citations in the selected format. To save the citations to a local file, go to the File menu and select "Save As." A new window will open, asking you where you would like to save your JSTOR citations.
To print your Saved Citations List as it appears in your browser, select the Print command from your browser's File menu. JSTOR citations can also be printed by viewing the citations in a new window or saving it as a text file, and then choosing the Print command from your browser's or text editor's File menu.
