Alliance Communications GroupCONTACT INFORMATION:
ACG Publishing, a division of Allen Press, Inc., a respected printer of scholarly journals since 1952, began offering non-profit societies and organizations Cooperative Publishing arrangements in 1996. Today, the division co-publishes over 30 journals, working with 21 societies and organizations to present original research from international scholars in the fields of medicine, zoology, sports science, plant, ecology and environmental sciences. JOURNALS INCLUDED IN JSTOR:Cell Stress & ChaperonesCell Stress & Chaperones publishes basic and applied research on cellular stress responses of animals, microorganisms, and plants. Cell stress is broadly defined to include cellular responses to heat shock, oxidative stress, heavy metals, and toxic chemicals. Molecular chaperones
include not only the traditional heat shock proteins, but also other proteins which assist protein folding and maintain protein homeostasis.
The journal is a forum for the research community, reflecting the creative tension between those engaged in mechanistic studies and in new
phenomenological studies. Research on the structure, function, and regulation of chaperones and their genes is complemented by applied research on cellular stress responses in molecular medicine, immunology, toxicology, and environmental biology.
Journal description provided by The Cell Stress Society International. The Journal of Wildlife ManagementThe Journal of Wildlife Management contains information from original research that contributes to the scientific foundations of wildlife management. Suitable topics include the results and interpretations of investigations into the biology and ecology of wildlife that can be used for management. Journal description provided by the Alliance Communications Group. Wildlife MonographsWildlife Monographs is a supplement to the Journal of Wildlife Management. Through Wildlife Monographs, The Wildlife Society publishes a unique series of publications presenting substantial, focused scientific investigations pertaining to the knowledge, management, and conservation of wildlife. They are intended to offer the results from major studies, including definitive syntheses of the topic area and comprehensive reviews of the literature. Journal description provided by Alliance Communications Group. Wildlife Society BulletinThe Wildlife Society Bulletin contains information from original research on applications of wildlife management. Such applications include analyses of management actions intended to influence wildlife populations and/or habitat. Such analyses can be based on field experiments of different management techniques, or case histories that describe the outcome of management actions. The Bulletin is also an outlet to communicate new methods and techniques, and to present perspectives, commentaries, opinions, and lessons learned from past management experience. Please note: this journal will cease publication in 2007. Journal description provided by the Alliance Communications Group. |
