I just wanted to say that I love this service you are providing! This is my first time using JSTOR and it was so simple... I found what I was looking for right away without even getting up from my desk. Thanks a million!
I have been using JSTOR since its inception. You have revolutionized how students and faculty retrieve journal articles and reduced the barriers to accessing information substantially. I am writing to let you know how pleased I am with your collection, with your user interface and with your staff (only one interaction—but the response time and quality were outstanding).
I cannot see how institutions such as ours can do without facilities such as
JSTOR. There is simply no substitute for the quality and magnitude of the service.
The individual journals are too expensive, the postal services are too dicey, and
the extra staff component too expensive for us in this part of the world. With
JSTOR all these problems disappear - fantastic! After using the facility for the
first time, I realized this and, dare I say, life without JSTOR has become almost
unimaginable.
I had a training workshop with our research staff, and now I have to think about
limiting their internet time. Because we are starved for the types of research
available through JSTOR, I am scared that they would be so busy looking for the
information, that they will forget to write their research papers! What a lovely
dilemma!
